Treehouse Conference Room 317 - Usage Policy

Mission

Treehouse Conference Room 317 can be reserved by completing the Library Events Form. The room features a conference table with 16 seats and couches [seating 10] and a computerprojector. The Treehouse serves multiple functions as event, meeting, and single-session Library instruction space.

Although the space is adjacent to a Library Quiet Zone – it is unfortunately not soundproof. Due to an open ceiling - sound travels in and out of the room. Accordingly - in order to maintain quiet in the Library – we recommend protocols below to apply during events and public meetings:

Policies

  1. Treehouse may be booked for single-occurrence meeting or event
  2. Faculty and administrators may request a reservation by filling out Library Events Form
  3. Reservations are on first-come, first-served basis – and will be confirmed after review by Library administration
  4. Treehouse cannot accommodate full-time classes
  5. While food is permitted – reserving party is responsible for clean up and maintaining original order of room
  6. Indicate computer set-up on Events Form
  7. Alert Library staff in Room 318 when you arrive and depart

Protocols Related to Lack of Soundproofing

  1. Amplified audio [video screening or conference calls] not permitted
  2. Entry door must be kept closed at all times during meeting-event
  3. Clapping hands should be kept to minimum
  4. Be mindful and respectful of conversation sound level
  5. Inform attendees of this expected behavior

Library also offers Conference Room 213 – more conducive to normal settings

We appreciate your support of student success in the Library
